A farmer hanged himself to death in his farm allegedly due to crop damage in Betul district of Madhya pradesh on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident took place at Jhakak village under Bheempur development block of the district.
Satish Korku, a farmer of Jhakak village owned 20 acres of land and he cultivated crops on them. In the meantime he also worked as a labourer and was in Harda district for few days for work.
On returning to Harda on Wednesday he was shocked to find his damaged crop in his field and hanged himself to a high-tension tower.
Sources said Korku also took loan from Bank for farming and as his crop was damaged he could not bear the shock.
Meanwhile district administration has ordered probe into the incident.
"We have constituted a probe to find out the reasons of death. A team including district panchayat CEO, Janpad Panchayat CEO and tehsildar have been sent to the spot," district collector Gyaneshwar B Patil
